“Green, black, white, the colours of gold.” It was a school motto and, now, brief worth its weight in gold.

Darling Visual communications was tasked to design a publication, for Raffles Institution’s yearly campaign.

When we accepted the brief, the imagery of flags fluttering in the wind soared in our minds. We art directed and styled the photography with an idea of a long flag weaving in and out around the students, like a living, dynamic thread that seemed to be a floating signifier of so many aspects. Stories, pride, life, the ties that bind. Like school life, there was something transient about it, yet something strong and powerful.
